Abstract: The history and archaeology of Great Oone's Hole, in Cheddar Gorge are described, and a new survey is presented. The results of a previously unpublished investigation carried out in 1976-7 are discussed. It is concluded that the deposits have been too badly disturbed previously to merit further investigation.
